It would not be an understatement while saying that SARS-CoV-2(COVID-19) has affected every country and the lives of all the citizens in each country. It has changed the overall lifestyle of everyone due to its deadliness and harsh effects on an infected individual. However, the government has taken action over the past two years, and cases have been starting to decrease. Most people are taking this virus much more lightly than they had before, but is it because of the vaccines or because they are tired of masks?
What are the previous vaccines?
It is crucial to consider the various factors that contribute to understanding whether injecting the newer booster doses are recommended or not. In the past, Pfizer and Moderna have released their vaccines to the public where they were allowed to begin injecting it. These vaccines were known to have many side effects which were more prominent in some individuals, however it would be worth it in the long run. Such side effects included a fever, chills, fatigue, and weakness. Even though they did not prevent the overall transmission of the virus, it aided in an ease of symptoms if one were to get Covid-19. Receiving this vaccine, however, was more beneficial for those who are predisposed to the virus.

What is the importance of the booster shot?
Considering that the factors of the vaccine were presented in order to decrease the effects, it was important to realize that after some time they would need to renew this purpose. This meant that having a booster shot was necessary in order to prevent another COVID wave and have an influx in cases. Doing so, gave people the chance to continue and keep their immunity high. However, it is vital to realize that it also takes a lot of time to create these booster shots and have them approved for all ages. This meant that some people also did not trust the type of resources and technology used for such a liquid. Furthermore, its side effects did not aid in proving its point as a helpful injection.
Gaining the trust of citizens is very difficult, especially for those who believe that the vaccines may contain COVID-19 itself, or those who have other conditions such as allergies and feel that they are not qualified for it. This underlying fear is the root cause of individuals straying away from this vaccine, however, in reality it can come to great use. Comprehending the vulnerability that people have to this virus is much greater than the chance of getting sick. Being skeptical about the invention of this vaccine in such a short span of time is understandable, but the government had carefully tested it beforehand making it safe.
We believe that if communities were to keep themselves aware about the science behind the booster shots and the vaccines, it would allow them to eliminate this underlying fear. This vaccine is not to make situations worse, rather it is to alleviate us from our past troubles and rise higher than before. Having such progress would allow us to eradicate this worldwide pandemic as a whole without having to wait it out for years to come.
