It is widely known that the pandemic has changed the way we react to situations, the overall financial status of the nation. In a similar manner, ever since 2020, hospitals have been struggling day and night trying to figure out how to manage all their patients and utilize their resources most effectively. They have been attempting to handle a myriad of external pressures in terms of guiding their patients, and fixing their technical processes in order to advance their system. It would not be an understatement when saying that the pandemic has called for some unexpected changes in the hospital life, and the way doctors run tests on each of the cases they treat.

Advances in the Medical Field:
Considering that medical support and insurance is quite expensive, it is becoming more and more difficult to account for these external factors due to the lack of resources. For example, the costs to get care have increased about 20% since 2019, which is a huge spike when noticing how high prices were without the inflation. Furthermore, labor payments had increased just as much from the span of 2019-2022. This means that hospitals and institutions were forced to make investments in new technology as this would not only be better for time management, it would aid in better care for each patient. Realizing that with a spike in patients as well, it is vital to consider that the creation of new digital tools allows for treating them better and having improved coordination.
Along with these digital advances, it was crucial for them to consider that they were short staffed as well, so they would need to understand how to educate their newer workers. This required much time and effort, so it was a process of embracing technology and educating the staff. With the last few years with Covid, the healthcare environment has definitely been struggling, however, rather than thinking of it as a downfall, it was more of a rise to a challenge. They had risen to thinking about the future, the future of healthcare. In this time period, they have even managed to create more proper workflows, manage stock levels, and product trading.
Hospitals had to connect with one another in order to see the progress of each, and try to adopt those various methods. Doing so, introduced newer forms of collaboration and obtained new skill sets for treating a plethora of diseases. Furthermore, it allowed everyone to share their own thoughts and work together, as a team.
We believe that everyone staying united was very important to keep our healthcare system alive. It was vital that we shared with one another, and were open about all these issues instead of keeping them to ourselves and suffering. If any type of pandemic were to disrupt the flow of the department, it would be more easy for the healthcare system to recover from such setbacks. They would be able to comprehend how to approach such challenges, and be able to grow from such experiences.
