A heart rate can be classified through how many heart beats one has per minute. Calculating the heart rate can indicate the health of an individual through showing how much blood needs to be pumped for them to sustain themselves. This means that from a scientific perspective, having a lower heart rate is more healthy but it all depends on various factors that one undergoes. For example, if you are an athlete, you are more likely to have a lower heart rate. But if you are undergoing a lot of stress in your life, it would not be surprising if your heart rate begins to go up.
Usually, when people take their heart rates they tend to focus on their resting heart rate. A resting heart rate is calculated when a person is relaxed or is not doing any strenuous activities. This can be taken at any normal time when one is sitting or just relaxing without doing much work. Tracking your heart rate can be done through a myriad of methods, some being using a device such as an Apple Watch, putting your fingers on neck near the windpipe, or using your wrist to see how many BPM you have.
Doing so, allows one to understand if their heart is healthy and if they may have an arising health condition. A normal resting heart rate is one that is from 60 BPM - 80 BPM. If your heart rate is on the higher side, it means that you are deconditioned. You should begin doing aerobic exercises to increase your heart capacity. The lower the heart rate, the better. If you are an individual with a lower heart rate it means that you continue to take care of your body and actively work out. Such people do not have anything to worry about and should continue their current lifestyle.

Maintaining a normal heart rate is important in terms of protecting one’s cardiac health. This can be done through reducing your stress, as stress leads to an increased blood pressure and heart rate. Keeping one’s stress levels to a minimum can be achieved through meditation, doing yoga, mindfulness exercises, and taking deep breaths. Another method to keep a normal heart rate is avoiding tobacco consumption as this can further lead to higher BPM(beats per minute). Higher weights contribute to a higher heart rate as the heart must work even harder to provide each area of the body with ample nutrients and oxygen. Losing weight can be done through exercising which is beneficial for both physical and mental health.
When exercising it is vital that one does not overexert themselves just for the sake of conditioning themselves. Rather they should take it slow and understand that this is a gradual process. Trying to move too fast would increase the risk of one to faint, get dizzy, or even collapse. While these are extreme effects, it is also crucial that when working out your heart rate does go up more than your resting heart rate. It allows you to have more oxygen provided throughout your body which is required considering that you are partaking in strenuous activity.
We believe that everyone should take care of themselves by checking their heart rate every once in a while. If your heart rate is high, be sure to use the methods mentioned above to reduce your heart rate. It is vital for all to maintain good cardiac health to prevent heart attacks,
